LIMITED EDITION "STARS & BARS" SELVEDGE CANVAS DAISY MAE HAT

Limited Edition “Stars & Bars” model, 15 pieces total (10 LRG, 5 MED). Summer weight 10 oz natural selvedge canvas from the Hokkon Mill, Japan. Repurposed vintage canvas with much favored “Stars & Bars” shield print. Sewn with made in usa A&E TEX 60 D-Core indigo dyed cotton wrapped poly thread. Seams finished with made in usa cotton herringbone trim tape in natural. Multi layer one piece brim w/ continuous rows of stitching, lined with deadstock made in usa 9 oz canvas. SFV MERCANTILE CO. and MADE IN USA printed labels. Hand applied ink size stencil. Individually cold water soaked, rinsed and line dried.

Faithful patterned (w/ a few subtle tweaks) utilizing a deadstock 1939 US ARMY M-37 raw denim hat from our archive.

Size medium / MED fits size 7 1/4 and measures approximately 22 5/8” or 58 CM inner headband circumference.

Size large / LRG fits size 7 3/8 - 7 1/2 and measures approximately 23”- 23 1/2” or 59 CM inner headband circumference.

Part of our production process is to rinse and line dry all our caps & hats in order to remove any dirt, starch and production marks. We then shape, conduct a quality inspection and confirm sizing. Once shrunk, hats can be enlarged a bit with a COLD water soak and stretch. Additional shrinking can be accomplished with a HOT water soak .

Due to the nature of repurposing vintage fabrics, ink prints may vary in placement and brightness and may show minor signs of wear and character from its previous life.

Wear it and don't be afraid get it dirty. Embrace the patina. Hand washing recommended if you must. 

* Note the indigo dyed thread used on this model will bleed just like indigo denim. Proceed accordingly.
